One obstacle he hadn’t considered during construction: How difficult it would be to convince a one-night-stand he wasn’t plotting to kidnap and kill.

United Artists Theater in Detroit, Michigan.
(via Yves Marchand and Romain Meffre)
The United Artists Theatre, designed in a Spanish-Gothic design, sat 2,070 people, and after closing served from 1978 to 1983 as the Detroit Symphony Orchestra’s recording theater. After the theater closed, the office block, in which the theatre is situated, struggled as tenants moved to suburbs. It finally closed in 1984.

Calling all Cat Ladies of Tumblr! Fred needs a home!
Fred is 10 years old and one of the sweetest cats I’ve ever had the pleasure of skritching behind the ears. He’s a little shy but very friendly and loves affection. He belongs to a good friend of mine who, for a couple personal reasons, needs to give him up. I want to make sure Fred goes to a deserving home. If it weren’t for Scout’s severe Alpha Cat disposition I would adopt him in a heartbeat. (As it is, Scout would eat Fred for breakfast and then look at me like “I AM STILL HUNGRY.” Fred is a wee cat.)
If you’re interested, drop me a comment or send me an email (smartgrrrl at the gmails) and I’ll make the connection.
If my other NYC-area tumblrs would spread the word, both Fred and I would really appreciate it. Thank you!
I also know Fred and can vouch for his sweetness and small size. You know you want him!
A beautiful feathered friend that I came across on my travels.
